Medical Education Unit

The Medical Education Unit (MEU) at Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MAPIMS) has undergone significant upgrades to enhance the training and development of our faculty members. The MEU is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities aimed at fostering effective teaching methodologies and continuous professional development.

Facilities
  • Air-Conditioned Seminar Room: A modern seminar room with air conditioning and small transforming partitions has been established. This setup allows for the flexible arrangement of space to conduct small group training sessions. The room is equipped with the latest multimedia equipment, including two LCD projectors, television, audio system with six speakers, and eight microphones.
  • MEU Office: The MEU office is equipped with essential amenities to support administrative functions and facilitate training activities. It is furnished with air conditioning, a photocopier, and separate computers with internet connection and printers for the chairperson, coordinator, and office staff.
Activities
  • Faculty Development Programs: Regular faculty development programs are conducted by the MEU to enhance the teaching skills and professional competence of faculty members. These programs cover a wide range of topics aimed at improving instructional methods, assessment techniques, and curriculum development.
  • MCI Training Events: The MEU organizes training events in accordance with the guidelines of the Medical Council of India (MCI). These events focus on preparing faculty members to meet the standards and requirements set by regulatory authorities in medical education.

The MEU plays a pivotal role in promoting excellence in medical education and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement among faculty members at MAPIMS. Through its state-of-the-art facilities and diverse training initiatives, the MEU aims to uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning in medical education.
