Candidates aspiring to pursue the MBBS degree course at Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MAPIMS) must meet the following eligibility criteria:
The number of attempts permitted to pass the qualifying examination and any provisions for improvements will be in accordance with the latest Government Orders applicable to all courses falling under the field of medicine.
Candidates must satisfy any additional qualifying criteria prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and/or the Government of Tamil Nadu from time to time.
Candidates must be eligible in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the Government for admission to medical courses.

Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Surgery (MS) postgraduate program at Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MAPIMS) must meet the following eligibility criteria:
MBBS Degree: Candidates must possess a recognized Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the MCI.
Internship Completion: Candidates must have completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship after obtaining their MBBS degree. The internship must be completed before the commencement of the MS program.
Medical Council Registration: Candidates must have permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC). Provisional registration is not acceptable.
Selection Process: Admission to the MS program is based on the merit obtained in the NEET-PG examination and as per the rules and regulations set by the University and Government authorities.
NEET-PG Score: Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET-PG) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and obtained a valid score.
