Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (MAPIMS) was established in 2008. Our Ophthalmology department conducts an annual Free Mega Eye Camp, performing over 1400 cataract surgeries and addressing various ophthalmological disorders and refraction errors. The Nephrology department features a Dialysis Centre with the latest haemodialysis machines, providing round-the-clock services at minimal cost to those in need. Additionally, our laboratory and diagnostic services, including a blood bank, operate 24/7 with state-of-the-art equipment.
The Institute's Emergency Department, ICU, and ICCU are equipped with life-saving measures such as centralized oxygen supply, centralized suction, multi-parameter monitors, ventilators, and defibrillators, ensuring comprehensive emergency care round the clock.
All pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical departments are fully equipped and adhere to the standards set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the University norms. MAPIMS is affiliated with TN Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and all academic activities are conducted following the curriculum issued by NMC and the University.
