The Department of Biochemistry MAPIMS provides excellent facilities that support both faculty and student academic activities.

Demonstration Rooms

Two spacious demonstration rooms (68 sq.m each) can accommodate up to 100 students. They are equipped with advanced audio-visual aids including projectors, speakers, mikes, slide pointers and computers.

Preparation and Store Rooms

Two preparation rooms 15 sq.m each features, fume cupboards for safe chemical handling. One store room is available for reagent preparation and chemical storage.

Department Library and Seminar Room

Having space of 30 sq.m with a comfortable seating capacity of 20 students and has 131 books along with 6 E-journals, providing internet access and LED facilities.

Student Practical Laboratory

Having 208 sq.m space, lab accommodates 96 students and includes features like wash basins, cupboards, reagent racks, centralized gas supply, exhaust fans, fire extinguishers, water supply, colorimeters and Water bath.

Research Laboratories

Two well-equipped research labs 750 sq.m each having instruments like UV photospectrometers, Centrifuges, Balances, Electrophoresis apparatus, HPLC, Chromatography chambers, Semi-auto analyser, pH meter, Hot air oven, Incubators and more.

Central Lab

Central lab operates 24/7, fully equipped with Auto-analyzers like BA 400, Immunoanalyzer, Mini-vidas, D-10 and ABG-analyser, all equipments integrated with the hospital information system.
