The Department of Anaesthesiology at MAPIMs was established since 2007, strives in providing outstanding Anaesthesia and pain services to all elective and emergency cases taken in MAPIMS hospital and also finest education for Medical students, Residents & Allied Health science students with its team accomplished faculty and world class infrastructure.

We take the privilege of having state of the art modular operation theatre, work stations, advanced airway gadgets: Video laryngoscope, Fiberoptic bronchoscope in our MAPIMS. The Anaesthesiology Department meets the needs of several medical procedures. Our Anaesthesiologists excel in taking high risk cases in both elective & emergency in various fields like Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, General surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastic surgery, Urology, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic surgery, OMFS, oncology surgery.

We have an experienced anaesthesia team in taking care of renal transplantation patients. The department also provides assistance in the management of ventilator patients and in the immediate post-operative management of patients in the surgical ICU. We are giving comprehensive care to children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and facial deformities.

The department has its own ultrasound and fluoroscopy with which we are providing excellent acute and chronic pain services. We are conducting an annual continuing medical education (CME) program as well as workshops, specifically designed for medical students and Residents.
